I-Fluid

Release Date March 13, 2009
Fluid is a totally original and engaging adventure game for PC due for release on 13th March 2009 by Nobilis and Ascaron Entertainment. In a unique twist, players find themselves exploring the world from the perspective of a drop of water, guiding a lost droplet on its journey through the plumbing system. Players must battle evaporation and absorption whilst also avoiding thirsty insects looking for a drink.

As a drop of water, normal objects become cause for careful consideration or celebration. The kitchen is a hot-bed of potential threats and sources of regeneration. If the drop falls too close to a stove or a freshly baked cake it will evaporate; but if it rolls over a sponge or towel it will be absorbed. In contrast, water spillages and fruit become sites for revitalisation as further moisture is absorbed and the droplet increases in size.

Each time the player’s drop evaporates or is absorbed, it re-spawns at a recent checkpoint. To make things more challenging, the obstacle the player was attempting to conquer changes form. For example, a collection of paperclips will be placed differently each time the player attempts to navigate them. In addition, no section of any level is ever the same regardless of how many times it is played.

There are fifteen levels for the player to complete, with a number of different environments to explore in order to plot a safe journey. Players will have to travel through plumbing systems, a kitchen and a garden in order to save their droplet. A combination of the mouse and WASD or arrow keys will smoothly glide the drop around the environments. Beautiful and realistic graphics increase the engrossing, unique and addictive gaming experience of iFluid.
